Mark Glassman attended the University of Nebraska at Omaha from 1973-76 before focusing on his passion to help the hearing impaired cope with hearing loss. He completed long distance classes through the International Hearing Society and passed his state licensing exams through the Nebraska Health and Human Services licensing bureau that same year.
He professionally tested hearing and fit hearing aids for Maico Hearing Center until starting his own practice, Glassman Hearing Aid Technology in 1977. He provided all hearing aids for a busy ENT Clinic in Lincoln, Ne, that had five Otolaryngologist and three Audiologist on staff.
He is an Audioprosthologist, Board Certified in Hearing Instrument Science Studies. He was Past President of the Nebraska Hearing Society, which consists of all hearing professionals who dispense hearing aids in Nebraska. He has chaired many Hearing Health events.
The Optimist Club’s “Help them Hear” program founded by Mr. Glassman helped many get needed hearing help and furnished “on the spot” silicone custom ear protection and hearing testing at no charge. The campaign was so successful it went National. It was Awarded “Best Campaign for helping others protect and prolong their health” by the Optimist Club on a National and Global level.
In the past 42 years he has successfully fit approximately 24,000 hearing aids, which would be the most hearing aids ever fit by one individual in the state of Nebraska.
He was periodically informed by major manufacturers such as Starkey, GN Danavox, now GN Resound, and Interton, that he had fit more hearing aids in a single month than any other single hearing professional in the USA.
“I have the same passion and enthusiasm to help those afflicted with hearing difficulties, to resume a normal, functional, and happy life again!
Hearing Aids have helped millions to relieve head noises or tinnitus, and off set unwanted and frustrating hearing loss”.
