Top Rated Phonak Hearing Aids

Phonak hearing aids are built around speech clarity, connectivity and personalized sound. The newest generation is Audéo EON, in EON Sphere and EON R, and we also fit the Infinio generation before it: Audéo Sphere Infinio Ultra, Audéo R Infinio and the custom Virto R Infinio. Every model runs on Phonak’s ERA chip, and the right one depends on where you listen and how you live. Whether you want a style that sits behind the ear or a custom fit inside it, a hearing care provider can match the model to your hearing and your days.

Top Phonak Hearing Aids Designed for Every Lifestyle

Which Phonak fits you comes down to where you struggle to hear, how much you stream, and whether a receiver-in-canal style, with a small body behind the ear and the speaker in the ear canal, or a custom fit suits your ears. Below are the two Audéo EON models, the two Audéo Infinio models from the generation before, and Virto R Infinio for a custom fit.

Phonak Audéo EON Sphere

Phonak’s Audéo EON Sphere is the newest hearing aid we fit, and it runs two chips instead of one. The ERA chip handles sound processing and connectivity, while a second chip called HYPERSONIC does nothing but separate speech from noise in real time. That division of labor is the point. A single processor splitting its attention between streaming a phone call and pulling one voice out of a crowded room does neither job as well, so Phonak gave the hard job its own hardware.
Speech separation with Spheric Speech Clarity 3.0: The HYPERSONIC chip isolates the voice you are trying to follow from everything else in the room, as it happens. Restaurants, family gatherings and meetings are where you notice it.
AutoSense OS AI 8.0: The hearing aids read your surroundings and switch programs on their own, across calm rooms, loud noise, music and conversation in the car. You are not reaching for a button.
Connectivity that keeps up: Bluetooth Classic and LE Audio, plus Auracast broadcast for venues that offer it. Two devices stay connected at once, so a call on your phone does not cost you the audio from your laptop.
Built for real days: Up to 38 hours on a charge, an IP68 rating against water and dust, and a 15 minute top-up that buys you about 30 more minutes of wear.
Three performance levels: E90, E70 and E50 fit different listening demands. Your provider will walk you through which one matches how you spend your day.

Phonak Audéo EON R

The Audéo EON R runs the same platform and the same operating system as EON Sphere on a single ERA chip. If most of your listening happens in ordinary rooms rather than loud ones, that is the more sensible buy, and it is the longer-lasting one: the R is rated for more expected hours per charge than the Sphere, because it is not powering a second processor.
AutoSense OS AI 8.0: The same automatic program switching the Sphere line uses, across calm rooms, noise, music and the car.
Voice finding in noise: SpeechSensor locates where speech is coming from and StereoZoom 2.0 narrows the focus to the person in front of you.
Universal Bluetooth: Calls and audio stream straight from phones, tablets and laptops on either operating system, with Auracast broadcast supported. RogerDirect works without a separate receiver.
All day power: Up to 38 hours on a charge, IP68 water and dust resistance, and a full charge in about two and a half hours.
Four levels, including an entry tier: E90, E70, E50 and E30 span premium through essential, so a first set of hearing aids can still run on the current Phonak platform.

Phonak Audéo Sphere Infinio Ultra

If busy rooms are where you struggle most, Audéo Sphere Infinio Ultra is the Phonak to compare against EON Sphere. Its ERA chip handles sound processing and connectivity, while a second chip called DEEPSONIC separates speech from noise in real time. EON Sphere, the generation after it, carries that two-chip design forward with a newer speech chip and operating system, so Sphere Infinio Ultra remains a strong fit when the newest generation is not a must.
Spheric Speech Clarity 2.0: At a dinner table in a crowded restaurant, DEEPSONIC pulls the voice you are following out of the clatter around it. EON Sphere moves to Spheric Speech Clarity 3.0 on its HYPERSONIC chip.
AutoSense OS 7.0: The hearing aids read your surroundings and switch programs on their own, across calm rooms, noise, music and the car. EON runs the newer AutoSense OS AI 8.0.

Streaming and charging: Calls and audio stream straight to your hearing aids over Bluetooth Classic, while EON adds LE Audio and Auracast, which lets venues that offer it broadcast audio straight to your hearing aids. A full charge takes about three and a half hours, and the IP68 rating covers water and dust. It comes in two technology levels, I90 and I70, the premium level and the one below it.

Phonak Audéo R Infinio

If most of your day happens in ordinary rooms, Audéo R Infinio gives you Infinio-generation sound without a second speech chip. That second chip exists to separate speech from noise in crowded rooms, so a listener who rarely spends time in them can do without it. Audéo R Infinio runs on the ERA chip alone, covers mild to profound hearing loss and comes in more technology levels than Sphere Infinio Ultra.
AutoSense OS 7.0: Programs switch automatically as you move between calm rooms, noise, music and the car. Dynamic Noise Cancellation turns down background noise, and StereoZoom 2.0 narrows the focus to the person in front of you when the room gets loud.
Four levels: I90, I70, I50 and I30 run from premium to essential, so your hearing care provider can match the level to how demanding your days are. A full charge takes about three hours.
Streaming and Roger: Calls and audio stream directly over Bluetooth Classic, and RogerDirect™ lets a Roger microphone stream straight to the hearing aids, which helps in meetings and group conversations.

Phonak Virto R Infinio

The Phonak Virto R Infinio is a custom in-the-ear hearing aid built on the same Infinio platform as the Audéo line. Each device is custom-molded to your unique ear canal using RightFit technology and Biometric Calibration. For those who want a discreet fit without sacrificing performance, this is a compelling choice.
Precision-Built for Your Ear: RightFit technology uses 1,600 ear-specific data points to create the smallest possible custom shell. Biometric Calibration optimizes directionality and minimizes feedback for each individual ear.
Advanced Speech Understanding: AutoSense OS 7.0 adapts to 18 times more real-world environments than previous generations. SmartSpeech technology and StereoZoom 2.0 improve speech understanding in noise by up to 16%.
Rechargeable and Connected: A full charge takes three hours and delivers up to 30 hours of use. Bluetooth 5.3 connects to up to 8 devices with hands-free calling for both iPhone and Android.

Note: The Virto R is the wireless rechargeable model. The Virto Titanium Infinio (CIC/IIC) is also available for those who prefer the smallest possible invisible fit, without Bluetooth.
